COOL DATE 3 will be on July 24 at Cake Shop NYC. It’s 21+ and the cover is going to be $7. I’d love for it to be free and all ages, but this is how it goes. I hope that anyone who’s interested is able to make it.

I recently learned about a Twitter poetry series taking place in NYC called Cool Date and was amazed to discover that the weird and expressive online world that I frequent is extending offline and taking some kind of embodied form. The whole reading was loose and fun, but there was also a renegade aura to it. Each of these writers probably have a larger audience than most writers I know, yet none of them, as far I know, has ever attended an MFA program and no one hawked their new novel.
Roshan Abraham wrote a nice, comprehensive review of the first Cool Date, complete with photos.
